Dreams Fulfilled

As a second generation Chinese American, I always felt like I was caught between worlds. Although I had friends that came from similar backgrounds, I also became close to those whose family dynamics and way of life seemed very different from mine. As I went through school, earning a degree in International Relations at the University of California, Davis and then a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential BCLAD (Mandarin) at California State University, Fullerton, and now as a mother of three,  I realized that the process of learning is constantly evolving and that it is imperative that we learn to be flexible and adaptable to succeed in today’s changing global landscape.

Although my first love is teaching, due to various circumstances, I have worked in a number of different fields, including the high tech industry,  finance, health, education, and also in ministry settings. I have worked domestically as well as overseas and I have been a full-time working mother as well as a stay-at-home mom. With all the incredible changes in my life, I have often been grateful to all those who have walked before me and have been generous with their time and experience to help me become a better wife and a better mother and teacher for my children.

Educational Artist is the culmination of years of hopes and dreams, in which I seek to utilize my knowledge and experience, which includes over eighteen years of working with children, youth, and families, to empower students and families to achieve their goals in a collaborative, effective, and engaging manner.
